FoundLater looks for Steam games that showed real promise but were easy to miss when they launched.

Why it exists

Steam got louder

More games are launching on Steam every year. The visible layer is still tiny, while the long tail keeps getting bigger. FoundLater is built for the space between those two facts: not the obvious hits, and not the zero-signal pile, but the promising middle that players can miss.

We use data to narrow the field, then an editor pass to keep the list readable. The goal is a monthly shortlist you can actually scan.

What limited means

Steam's Profile Features Limited flag is a useful proxy for platform visibility. It usually means the game has not yet reached enough sales and player activity for Steam to treat it as established.

How we search

The middle tail is the target

FoundLater does not try to scrape the whole zero-review tail. That zone is huge and noisy. We look for games that already have a small signal of quality, but have not become obvious Steam winners yet.

SignalWorking rangeWhy it matters
Release age30-365 daysOld enough to show signal, young enough to be missed.
Reviews10-200Past the zero-signal zone, still below wide visibility.
Rating80-85%+A basic quality floor before an editor spends time on it.
Noise checkNo obvious shovelwareKeeps the shortlist out of the deepest spam tail.
Extra signalUpdates, demo, CCU, followersShows a game may still have life after launch.
